Scientists track powerful Anti-Inflammatory drug in Patients' bodies
NCT ID NCT05012033
Summary
This study aims to understand how the body processes and breaks down a common anti-inflammatory steroid medication called prednisolone when given at high doses. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood and urine of 120 patients who are taking high doses of prednisolone for conditions like asthma, thyroid eye disease, or vasculitis, either for a short time or over many months. The goal is to learn if the body handles the drug differently over time, which could help doctors prescribe more precise, safer doses in the future.
