High-Dose steroid may cut cough pain after lung surgery

Summary

This study tests whether a high dose of the steroid dexamethasone can reduce pain when coughing the morning after lung surgery. It includes 80 adults with lung cancer who are expected to have higher pain levels. Participants receive either a high or low dose of the drug during surgery, and pain is measured the next day.
