Summary

This study follows 200 adults who had laparoscopic repair of a large hiatal hernia with mesh and anterior fundoplication. One year after surgery, participants get a CT scan to check for hernia recurrence, and their symptoms and quality of life are assessed. The goal is to compare how often a hernia shows up on imaging versus how often people feel symptoms, helping surgeons understand the true recurrence rate.
