Donor tissue tested as new option for tough hernias when mesh fails

NCT ID NCT07326826

Summary

This study is testing a new approach for repairing difficult abdominal hernias using a graft made from donated human tissue. It's designed for patients who have had organ transplants or who cannot use standard synthetic mesh due to infection risks or complex wounds. Researchers will follow 20 patients for a year to see if the graft is safe, if hernias come back, and how it affects quality of life.
