First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looked back at medical records of over 500 women in Gulf countries with advanced breast cancer that was previously labeled as HER2-negative. Researchers re-tested old tumor samples to find out how many actually had a newer subtype called HER2-low. The goal was to better understand how common this subtype is and how it behaves, which could help doctors choose better treatments in the future.
