First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked back at medical records of over 500 women in Gulf countries whose breast cancer had spread and was previously labeled as HER2-negative. Researchers re-checked the original tumor samples to find out how many actually had a newer subtype called HER2-low. The goal was to learn how common this subtype is and how it behaves, which can help doctors better identify and treat it in the future.
