Doctors test new heart scan to guide Life-Saving care

Summary
This study aims to see if using a special, focused ultrasound of the heart is safe and helpful for guiding treatment of critically ill patients in the emergency room or intensive care unit. It will enroll 1,000 adult patients who are in shock or cardiac arrest and are already scheduled to receive this scan as part of their standard care. The main goal is to learn if this imaging tool improves survival and recovery outcomes.
