Heart MRI may unlock secrets of stiff heart failure
NCT ID NCT07326605
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether special heart MRI scans can help predict serious events like death or hospital stays in people with a type of heart failure called HFpEF (heart failure with preserved ejection fraction). Researchers will scan 3000 patients with HFpEF and 500 healthy volunteers, then follow them for 3 years. No drugs or treatments are tested—this is purely an observation study to improve how doctors assess risk.
