Summary

This observational study looks at whether combining PET and MRI heart scans gives doctors a fuller picture of blood flow and heart structure in people with known or suspected coronary artery disease. Researchers will compare the measurements from both imaging methods to see if they provide complementary information that could improve diagnosis. The study involves adults over 18 who have symptoms of possible coronary artery disease and are already scheduled for a stress CMR or PET exam.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ€” not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could improve how doctors use heart imaging to diagnose and manage coronary artery disease, potentially leading to more accurate and personalized care.
What could go wrong
This is a small observational study, so its findings may not apply to everyone. It does not test a treatment, so it won't directly change patient outcomes.
