Summary

This study uses CT scans to compare heart fat and chamber size in people with and without atrial fibrillation (AF). Researchers will enroll 600 adults to see if fat distribution differs between those with normal rhythm, occasional AF, and persistent AF. No drugs or treatments are tested—the goal is to better understand how heart fat might be linked to AF.
