Fighting heart failure before it starts: new support program targets High-Risk communities
NCT ID NCT06364644
Summary
This study is testing a 6-month support program designed to prevent heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes and obesity who have limited income and resources. The program combines exercise training at a local YMCA with problem-solving coaching and regular check-ins from a community health worker. Researchers want to see if this combined approach is better than just providing educational materials and gym access at improving fitness, health markers, and self-care skills.
