Summary
This study tested whether a medication called dapagliflozin could improve heart health in people with kidney failure who are on dialysis. 220 participants, including those with and without type 2 diabetes, took either the drug or a placebo pill daily for six months. Researchers used heart scans to see if the drug reduced heart muscle thickening, a common and serious problem for people on dialysis.
