New program aims to stop heart attacks in psoriasis patients

Summary
This study is testing whether a dedicated care coordinator can help people with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis reduce their risk of heart disease. The coordinator will work with 520 patients aged 40-75 to better manage cholesterol, blood pressure, weight, and other heart health factors using standard approaches. The goal is to see if this extra support leads to measurable improvements in heart disease risk scores and overall health.
