First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study aims to find early warning signs in the blood that could predict heart damage in children and teens who have been treated with a type of chemotherapy called anthracyclines. Researchers will measure specific proteins and other substances in the blood of 40 childhood cancer survivors and compare them to healthy children. The goal is to see if these markers can help doctors identify heart problems before they become serious.
