Summary

This study looked at whether adjusting hearing aids helps older adults communicate more easily and with less mental effort and fatigue. Sixty people aged 60 and older with hearing loss who had never used hearing aids took part. Researchers measured listening effort, fatigue, and sentence recognition in noise before and after four weeks of hearing aid use.
