Long-Term study reveals how race and wealth shape health in aging
NCT ID NCT01323322
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study follows thousands of Black and white adults in Baltimore over many years to understand how race and income differences lead to health problems like heart disease, diabetes, and memory loss as people age. Participants complete health exams, questionnaires, and some get brain scans. The goal is to learn why some groups age less healthily than others, not to test a new treatment.
