Summary

This study will compare a new handheld device to the standard iLivTouch system for measuring liver stiffness and fat in 224 adults with chronic liver disease. Participants will be tested with both devices while lying down and sitting. The goal is to see if the handheld device is accurate and reliable enough for routine use.

Active substance

handheld elastography device

What this could lead to

If successful, this could provide a more portable and convenient way to monitor liver health in chronic liver disease patients.

What could go wrong

This is an early-stage, single-center study with only 224 participants. The handheld device may not match the accuracy of the standard system, and results may not apply to all patients.
