Double liver trouble: does having both hepatitis b and fatty liver speed up disease?

This study follows 1500 Chinese adults with chronic hepatitis B, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, or both, to see how having both conditions changes the risk of serious liver problems like cirrhosis, liver failure, and liver cancer. Researchers will track who develops these complications and when. The goal is to understand whether the combination of the two liver diseases leads to faster or more severe disease progression than having either one alone.
