New blood filter aims to calm the storm in critically ill patients
NCT ID NCT06179771
Summary
This study is testing if a special blood filter called the HA380 can help critically ill patients who need life support machines like dialysis or ECMO. The filter aims to remove harmful inflammation-causing substances from the blood, which researchers hope will help patients recover faster and spend less time on support machines and in the intensive care unit. This is a small, early-stage pilot study to see if this approach is feasible and safe to research further.
