First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a group exercise program shown on TVs during hemodialysis is safe and doable for people with chronic kidney failure. About 45 adults will follow along with exercise videos while receiving dialysis. The goal is to see if this approach can help fight muscle loss and improve physical function.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

group exercise program supported by audiovisual media

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a simple, low-cost way to help dialysis patients stay active and improve muscle strength and function.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early feasibility study with only 45 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Some patients may find it hard to exercise during dialysis.
