Food cards for health: can extra grocery money help control chronic diseases?

NCT ID NCT07469995

Summary

This study is testing whether providing different amounts of monthly grocery money helps low-income people with diabetes or high blood pressure better manage their health. About 4,450 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either an $80 or $120 monthly food card for one year. Researchers will track changes in food insecurity, blood sugar, blood pressure, and healthcare use to see which amount works better.
