Greek study aims to better measure Hypoparathyroidism's impact
NCT ID NCT07160348
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study will translate and test two questionnaires (HPES-Symptom and HPES-Impact) for Greek-speaking adults with chronic hypoparathyroidism. Researchers will enroll 200 patients across several hospitals in Greece. The goal is to ensure the questionnaires accurately capture patients' symptoms and daily-life challenges in Greek, so doctors can use them to improve care.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a reliable tool to measure how hypoparathyroidism affects patients in Greece, helping doctors better understand and manage the condition.
What could go wrong
This is a translation and validation study, not a treatment trial. It won't directly improve patient health, and the questionnaire may not capture all important aspects of the disease.
