Summary
This study tests whether a culturally tailored storytelling video, shown on a tablet, can help 200 gout patients—especially African Americans in the Southeast—better understand their condition and stick with long-term treatments like medication, diet, and exercise. The goal is to reduce painful flares and improve overall care. Participants are recruited from emergency departments and compared to those receiving usual care.
