NCT ID NCT07519044
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether adding a drug called GM1 to the standard clot-removal procedure (thrombectomy) helps people recover better after a severe stroke. About 868 adults with a blocked artery in the front part of the brain will receive either GM1 or a placebo, and their recovery will be measured after 90 days. The goal is to see if GM1 can reduce brain damage and improve daily functioning.
