Blocking stress hormones may reveal why overeating leads to fat gain
NCT ID NCT06556277
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether stress hormones (glucocorticoids) released after eating contribute to fat gain in overweight people. Twenty-three overweight men were given either a drug combination that blocks these hormones or a placebo while overeating for a week. Researchers measured changes in body fat to understand the hormone's role.
