First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using a bioactive glass air abrasion before applying a tooth-colored sealant helps prevent cavities and keeps the sealant on teeth longer. 96 young adults (ages 17-22) with good oral hygiene took part. The goal was to see if this extra step improves the sealant's ability to protect back teeth from decay.
