First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a new way to apply dental sealants (a protective coating) to prevent cavities in young adults aged 17-22. Researchers compared sealants placed with or without a pre-treatment using a bioactive glass air abrasion (a gentle spray of special glass particles). The goal was to see which method kept the sealant on teeth longer and better prevented cavities. 96 people with good oral hygiene took part.
