NCT ID NCT07271407
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study enrolls 2000 women who had gestational diabetes into a registry to improve their long-term health follow-up. Participants receive reminders for regular check-ups on blood sugar, blood pressure, and other health markers over 3 years. A subgroup may also join a lifestyle program to lower diabetes risk. The goal is to learn how to better monitor and treat these women to prevent future health problems.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to better follow-up care programs and personalized treatments for women after gestational diabetes, potentially reducing their future risk of type 2 diabetes.
What could go wrong
This is an observational registry study, not a treatment trial. It may not directly change outcomes, and results depend on participant adherence to follow-up.
