First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to develop a simple, non-invasive way to detect lung diseases like cancer, asthma, and COPD by analyzing DNA and proteins from cough samples. Researchers will collect cough specimens from 2000 adults, including smokers and non-smokers, and compare them to samples from standard lung procedures. The goal is to find early markers of disease without the need for invasive tests.
