New tool aims to boost genetic testing in prostate cancer patients

Summary
This study looks at what helps or hinders prostate cancer patients from completing genetic testing, which is recommended for many. Researchers will develop and test a decision support tool to educate patients and help them decide about testing. The goal is to improve access to targeted treatments and identify family members who may also be at risk. About 108 patients from Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital will take part.
