NCT ID NCT03275610
First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study aims to find genetic markers that may increase the risk of a pulmonary embolism (a serious blood clot in the lung) after total hip or knee replacement surgery. Researchers will collect blood samples from 100 adults aged 18-70 who have had a pulmonary embolism after such surgery. The goal is to use this information to better identify high-risk patients and personalize care to prevent clots while reducing bleeding risks.
