First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if changes in a person's genes could help doctors quickly tell the difference between a normal inflammatory response after major surgery and a serious infection. Researchers planned to study blood samples from 61 adults having major non-cardiac surgery. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
