Gene test may sharpen prostate biopsy decisions
NCT ID NCT05295407
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a person's inherited genetic risk can help predict if they have prostate cancer. About 1,000 men aged 40 to 69 who are scheduled for a prostate biopsy will have their genetic risk scored as high, medium, or low. Researchers will then compare how often cancer is found in each group to see if the genetic test improves detection.
