Gene test could spare men unnecessary biopsies

NCT ID NCT05295407

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a person's inherited genetic risk can predict if they have prostate cancer. Researchers will compare the genetic risk scores of 1,000 men aged 40-69 who are already scheduled for a prostate biopsy. The goal is to see if men with higher genetic risk are more likely to have cancer, which could help guide future biopsy decisions.
