To cut or not to cut? study tests best approach for gallstones in the elderly

Summary
This study looks at whether older adults (80+ or 75+ with health issues) benefit from gallbladder removal after having bile duct stones cleared via endoscopy. Half will get surgery, half will wait and see. The goal is to see which approach leads to fewer deaths, major complications, or return of biliary problems within a year.
