First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at how people with different neurological conditions (like stroke, Parkinson's, or spinal cord injury) walk compared to healthy individuals. Researchers measured walking patterns to create "gait profiles" for each condition. The goal was to better understand how specific brain or nerve damage affects movement. 208 adults took part, and some with spinal cord injury were followed over time to see how their walking changed.
