New brain scan study aims to end guesswork in glioblastoma treatment
NCT ID NCT06319027
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at whether advanced imaging methods can give more accurate information about tumor activity in people with a newly diagnosed type of brain cancer called glioblastoma. Standard MRI scans can be confusing because changes after treatment may look like tumor growth but actually be a reaction to therapy. The study will use special MRI and PET scans to help tell the difference. About 100 adults with newly diagnosed glioblastoma will take part.
