PET scan patients may soon be allowed to move freely during wait time

NCT ID NCT06799819

First seen May 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether patients can move around freely after receiving the injection for a PET scan without hurting the quality of the images. Normally, patients must rest quietly for an hour before the scan. The study will compare image quality between those who rest and those who can move, involving 284 adults. If moving doesn't affect the results, it could make the experience much more comfortable for patients.
