Phone-Based fitness and nutrition program aims to keep seniors with colorectal cancer strong
NCT ID NCT06502275
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a mobile health program designed to reduce frailty in people aged 60 and older with colorectal cancer. Over 12 weeks, participants receive exercise and nutrition tips via the LINE app, plus podcasts, workout videos, and brief phone check-ins. Researchers will measure changes in frailty, physical fitness, activity levels, and nutrition compared to standard care.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Mobile Health Management Frailty Care Program (behavioral intervention via LINE app, podcasts, videos, phone calls, and activity tracker)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, home-based way to help older colorectal cancer patients stay stronger, more active, and better nourished during recovery.
What could go wrong
This is a relatively small, early-stage study (140 participants) testing a behavioral program, not a drug. Results may not apply to all patients, and the program requires a smartphone and willingness to follow guidance.
