NCT ID NCT07650864
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study investigates whether foot massage using a roller can reduce nerve pain caused by chemotherapy in cancer patients. About 80 adults receiving certain chemotherapy drugs will either receive foot massage twice daily for three weeks or continue with routine care. The goal is to see if this simple, non-drug approach can lower pain scores and improve comfort.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
foot massage with a massage roller
What this could lead to
If effective, foot massage could become a simple, drug-free way to ease chemotherapy-related nerve pain and improve quality of life for cancer patients.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 80 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The effect may be modest or no better than ice therapy.
