First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether adding foot core exercises to regular strength training can improve jump performance in professional volleyball players. Forty-three male players will be split into two groups: one doing only strength training, the other adding foot exercises. Jump height and force will be measured using a special system called ForceDecks.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could point toward better training programs that improve jump performance and reduce injury risk in volleyball players.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 43 participants, so results may not apply to all athletes. The exercises may not lead to significant improvements over standard training.
