Does eating carbs last control your blood sugar? athletes put to the test
NCT ID NCT07247513
Summary
This study aimed to understand if the order you eat foods in a meal—specifically, eating carbohydrates last versus first—affects blood sugar levels in elite female athletes during their normal training. Twenty-two healthy athletes wore a continuous glucose monitor for six days at a training camp while following specific meal patterns. Researchers compared blood sugar responses to see which eating sequence might lead to more stable levels throughout the day and during exercise.
