Sound wave helmet aims to boost brain cancer treatment

Summary
This early study tests a special helmet that uses focused ultrasound to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier in people with glioblastoma. The goal is to let more chemotherapy reach the tumor. Ten adults who have already had surgery and standard chemo will receive the ultrasound treatment during their maintenance chemo. Researchers will check if it is safe and if it helps the chemo work better.
