First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how a gentle ultrasound pulse to the cerebellum (the part of the brain that controls coordination and some thinking) changes brain waves and mental tasks. Twenty healthy adults aged 18 to 40 will receive both real and fake (sham) ultrasound while their brain activity is recorded. The goal is to understand how the cerebellum influences cognition, not to treat any disease.
