New registry aims to personalize blood thinners after TAVR
NCT ID NCT06000943
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study follows 2500 people who had a TAVR procedure to replace a narrowed heart valve. Researchers will track bleeding and clotting events over time to see how different blood-thinner medicines affect risk. The goal is to find the best treatment plan for each patient based on their surgical risk level.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could help doctors choose the safest blood-thinner plan for each patient after TAVR, reducing heart attacks, strokes, and bleeding.
- What could go wrong
- This is an observational registry, not a treatment test. It can show patterns but cannot prove which therapy is best. Results may not apply to all patients.
