Could early steroids help kids recover from stroke?
NCT ID NCT06040255
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether giving steroids early to children who had a stroke from a condition called focal cerebral arteriopathy (FCA) can help reduce damage to the brain's arteries. About 80 children aged 1 to 18 will be randomly assigned to get steroids right away or only if their artery disease gets worse. All children will also receive standard care with aspirin. The goal is to see if early treatment leads to better artery healing.
