Scientists probe Antidepressant's hidden effect on healthy minds

NCT ID NCT07424781

Summary

This University of Oxford study aims to understand how the antidepressant fluoxetine (Prozac) affects how healthy young people process anger. 80 participants aged 18-24 will take either a 20mg fluoxetine pill or a placebo daily for one week and complete tasks designed to measure anger responses. Researchers will compare the two groups to see if the drug changes how people recognize angry faces, react to frustration, or show physical signs of anger.
