Summary

This study looked at 180 older adults (65+) having major abdominal cancer surgery to see if giving fluids based on real-time body readings helps prevent confusion or memory problems after surgery. Some patients received standard care, while others got fluids tailored to their needs using non-invasive monitors. The goal was to see if personalized fluid management leads to better thinking and memory in the days after surgery.
