Flu shot may calm heart inflammation, study suggests

NCT ID NCT06508437

Summary

This small study tested whether getting a flu shot directly reduces harmful inflammation in people with stable coronary artery disease. Researchers gave 47 participants the vaccine either right away or after a one-month delay, then measured inflammation markers in their blood. The goal was to see if the vaccine could become a helpful extra tool, alongside regular medications, for preventing future heart problems.
