NCT ID NCT07198282

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares four ways to close the gum after removing an impacted wisdom tooth: standard stitches, leaving the wound open, placing a small drain, or using medical glue. The goal is to see which method causes the least pain, swelling, and difficulty opening the mouth. About 148 healthy adults aged 18-40 are being recruited.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could identify the best closure technique to reduce pain, swelling, and jaw stiffness after wisdom tooth removal.
