First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a FitBit and a mobile app can help people who have had surgery for stomach, liver, colon, or other GI cancers avoid going back to the hospital. About 107 adults who own a smartphone and are scheduled for surgery will either use the devices or get usual care. The main goal is to see if the technology lowers readmission rates and helps patients recover more smoothly at home.
