NCT ID NCT07442448
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a drug called finerenone can reduce scarring and fat buildup in the heart muscle of people with diabetic kidney disease and heart failure. About 40 adults will take the pill daily for 6 months and get advanced heart scans to see if their heart structure improves. The goal is to slow or reverse heart damage, not to cure the underlying conditions.
